Look at Figure 1 and you quickly understand what I’m talking about: Orange’s open RAN initiative at its Innovation, Research and Development Campus inaugurated in 2016, and located in Châtillon, a small town about 2 miles south from Paris. Launched on November 10, 2021, Orange’s Open RAN Integration Center is truly dedicated to open RAN technology. Thanks to Team Orange for organizing this productive in-person meeting in less than a month after the official launch.
Orange plans to make this lab accessible to equipment suppliers involved in the expanding open RAN ecosystem, including vendors, start-ups and system integrators looking for an operational and interoperability testing platform. In addition, this Open RAN Integration Center network is also remotely accessible.
